Customs brokerage at Kislev is performed by top notch professionals, customs agents that are licensed to represent your businesses vis-à-vis the customs authorities, while exploiting our many years of experience with regard to all the procedures entailed in international commerce.

Our primary function is to serve as your representative and trustee - the importing or exporting customer - at the customs authorities.

And subsequently, to prepare all the relevant documentation for clearance of the goods, to ensure that the payment is made, to classify the goods, whereby the taxation shall be determined in a manner that is both acceptable to the authorities and takes into account the requirements of the customer.

In each terminal where the primary customs stations are present, Kislev operates a Customs Brokerage Department with stations and branches through which we function on your behalf.

We are aware of the fact that you, the customer, dictate the important criteria when choosing a customs broker, which is why we have listed our capabilities as follows:

1. The ability to rapidly and effectively perform the bureaucratic operations involved in clearance of the goods or their shipment in export. 2. Our professional know-how - there are often controversies between the customs representative and the broker regarding classification of the imported goods; such classification is critical in determining the level of taxation. 3. Our ability to reduce for the client the various expenses the shipment is subject to. E.g. sea freight or overland freight. 4. A reputable customs broker that is bound by numerous and comprehensive trade agreements with different companies around the world. 5. Customs Brokerage is a profession that requires high level professionalism and credibility.

The profession is learnt in special courses, at the end of which one is required to undergo special exams and a period of internship. Only after successfully completing the latter, the broker is awarded a "customs agent" license, on behalf of the Customs and VAT Division.
